The period of Mauryan dynasty was approx 137 years. Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara and Ashoka were the most popular emperor of Maurya dynasty. The total period of these three emperors was around 90 years. The last emperor of Maurya dynasty was Brihadratha. Pushyamitra Sung killed Brihadratha and established the sung dynasty.

Chandragupta Maurya (321- 297 B.C)
Chandragupta Maurya was the founder of Maurya dynasty with the help of Chanakya. Chandragupta Maurya defeated the last Nand ruler Dhananand with the help of Chanakya at his age of just 25 years and Captured on Patliputra and established a new dynasty which was called the great Mauryan Dynasty. Chanakya was a great economist and Philosopher. Chanakya was also called Kautilya and Vishnugupta. Chandragupta Maurya was a great emperor. He expanded his empire across India.
The battle between Selyuk Niketor and Chandragupta Maurya was began in 305 B.C and it was end in 303 B.C through agreement which was done between Greeks and Mauryan. In this war Chandragupta Maurya was declare winner through this agreement. As per this agreement, Chandragupta Maurya married Helena (Daughter of Selyuk Niketor). Chandragupta Maurya adopted Jain religion at his last stage of life. He spent few years in shravanabelagola at his last stage of life till his death.

Bindusara (297-272 B.C)
Bindusara was also called Amitraghata or Ametrokets which means destroyer of enemies. He also expanded the Mauryan empire across Mysore. Bindusara established the friendship relation to the Seleucid king Anti Yokas of Syria. Demekas, who was the ambassador of Anti yokas was spent few years with Bindusara in Patliputra as a delegate of the king of Syria. Bindusara was interested in "Ajivika Sampraday". An Ajivika forecaster "Pingalvats" was in the court (royal) of Bindusara. In Bindusara's Period, the revolution of Takshila was held. Bindusara sent his son Ashoka to Takshila to tackle this situation in which Ashoka was succeeded. Ashoka was the Heir of Bindusara.Important Point related to Bindusara:-
